Modern Japan Part II: Reinventing Japan. From the Occupation to the 2011 Triple Disasters

The course will introduce participants to current historical interpretations by leading scholars as well as classroom-applicable primary sources and curriculum. Each of the three seminar modules will include an exploration of online primary sources and Internet collections, with discussion of instructional applications. This seminar is Part II of TEA-NCTA’s two-semester offering on Modern Japan. Modern Japan Part I is not a prerequisite for this course.
