Modern Japan: From Occupation to the 2011 Triple Disaster

This course focuses on Japan’s story of post-war reinvention, resurgence and global presence, 1945-2011. The course introduces participants to current historical interpretations by scholars, classroom-applicable primary sources, and curriculum. This seminar is Part II of TEA-NCTA’s two-semester offering on Modern Japan. Part I is not a prerequisite for this course.
