The conference focuses on the following topics, including K-12 friendly sessions:
(1) a panel of academic speakers on migration in India, China, and Southeast Asia, and (2) a panel on Asian American communities in North Carolina today, and (3) a panel on resources for teaching about migration in/from/around Asia, including material from the Southern Mix oral history project. Highlights of the virtual conference include a keynote address by the President of AAS, Prof. Christine Yano, and a performance of contemporary Asian compositions by Haoli Lin.
