Course Description: oin Professors David Gordon and Jasen Allen of Shepherd University, WV for this two-week online seminar explores the historical and cultural interconnections in East Asia between art and people's everyday lives using both ancient and modern viewpoints. Participants will experience artistic and other practices such as origami paper-folding and the abacus through a variety of speakers and hands-on experiences (using materials sent to participants' homes in advance), with an emphasis given on effective ways to incorporate the content into classroom curricula.
