Connecting Words and Images
Fall in-service day with the Seattle Asian Art Museum. Explore how words and images come together to foster connections between artists and the world around them. Educators can take in works of art from the Seattle Asian Art Museum’s collection, as well as pieces from the special exhibition Beyond the Mountain: Contemporary Chinese Artists on the Classical Forms. Experience works of art that use multiple modes of artistic expression and then try out engagement strategies to encourage your students to do the same through discussing and making art.
