Course Description: Using primary sources in the classroom to stimulate higher level thinking and learning has become mainstream, but their selection is most often limited to written documents. This presentation by the Kansas Consortium for Teaching about Asia will show instead how to use visual materials as primary sources. Templates for student use that are readily available will be introduced along with other resources. These will bring a new dimension to teaching, especially in history and world history classes.
