Teaching East Asia in Maine – Bowdoin Collects: Chinese Ceramics, Jades, and Paintings

Audience: Although our target audience is Maine teachers, participants from other states are welcome. Teachers from all disciplines are encouraged to attend—this is not just for art teachers.
Course Description: We’ll begin with a guided tour of the Bowdoin Collects: Chinese Ceramics, Jades and Paintings exhibit at the Bowdoin College Museum of Art, followed by a gallery discussion on integrating Chinese art across the curriculum. We’ll then adjourn for lunch and continue our discussions on teaching East Asia.
Registration and Info:

Participants will receive classroom resource materials, lunch, and a certificate of completion for 4 contact hours. Travel stipends are available for teachers who live more than 20 miles from Bowdoin.
