Sijo Workshop: Comparing Korean Poetry with Chinese and Japanese Verse

|Course Description:||This workshop will introduce K-12 educators to Korean sijo, Chinese jueju, and Japanese haiku, with attention to thematic and stylistic similarities and differences among the three forms. It will also include a sijo composition session, as well as strategies for teaching East Asian poetry.|

Registration deadline: April 13, 2018.
$500 in travel/accommodation support will be provided to out-of-state participants. $250 in travel/accommodation support will be provided to in-state participants.
Please note: Teachers who have not participated in a prior EASC-NCTA poetry workshop will receive admissions preference.
